Choose stable addresses
Separate URLs make language versions easier to link and check for indexing. The language switcher should open the equivalent page rather than always return home. Avoid forced redirects based only on IP or browser language without an override: customers may prefer another language or be outside Kazakhstan.
Align technical signals
Give each page the correct lang value, its own canonical and reciprocal hreflang links to available equivalents. Do not canonicalise every translation to the Russian page; that conflicts with publishing distinct language versions. If a translation is unfinished, do not publish an empty indexable copy. Check URL availability in sitemaps and internal links.
Localise meaning and interface
Translate forms, validation errors, terms and image descriptions. Check long Kazakh and English words on narrow screens. Legal identity, telephone numbers and emails should remain consistent, while contact wording can be localised. Assign translation ownership and review versions together when a service changes.
- Language links have equivalent destinations.
- Canonicals preserve distinct language pages.
- Hreflang is reciprocal and resolves.
- Forms and errors are fully translated.
Project questions
Must all older articles be translated at once?
No. Release complete, useful translations by priority. Do not add hreflang links to missing or empty versions.
