When this is the right approach
A bespoke system makes sense when a standard sales pipeline cannot describe your work: complex approvals, several departments, specific access rules or related business entities. If an existing CRM can meet the requirements, we compare both options first. Custom development needs a clear business rationale.
Decisions before implementation
Start with the smallest complete workflow. A project business may need a customer, project, stage, task and payment; a service centre may need a request, device, repair and handover. Reports should follow these entities rather than becoming disconnected spreadsheets added at the end.
How development works
- Review the workflow and constraints: who uses the data, where errors occur and what needs to change.
- Agree screen prototypes, MVP boundaries and acceptance criteria for each scenario.
- Build modules and test functionality, access boundaries and failure handling.
- Migrate data using a verified plan, run a pilot and hand over documentation.
Launch and handover
Before work starts, agree source-code delivery, infrastructure access, ownership of the result, backups and ongoing support. Production customer data is not used in public demonstrations.
