Check availability and addresses
Required pages should return successful HTTP statuses and missing pages a genuine 404. Review old-URL redirects, HTTPS and the preferred hostname. Ensure staging noindex restrictions have not reached production. A sitemap should contain current canonical URLs, with internal links pointing directly to them. robots.txt does not replace access controls for private data.
Give pages distinct purposes
Each commercial page needs a distinct task, clear title and H1, an explanation of the offer and a next step. Avoid dozens of near-identical texts with swapped city or service names. Content should answer genuine questions, describe limitations and link to relevant sections. Check mobile reading, navigation accessibility and image sizes.
Match markup to visible content
Canonical, hreflang and structured data should describe existing pages and verifiable facts. Do not add fictional reviews, prices or achievements. After launch, inspect URLs in site-owner tools and monitor crawl errors. Correct markup supports understanding but guarantees neither rankings nor enhanced search results.
- HTTP statuses and redirects are checked.
- Noindex and sitemap match production intent.
- Each page serves a distinct useful purpose.
- Markup agrees with visible facts.
Project questions
Is submitting a sitemap enough for indexing?
No. It is a discovery hint. Availability, internal links, content quality and search-engine decisions also affect indexing.
