Prepare the submission package
Assign ownership of store accounts, signing keys and the API domain. Prepare the name, descriptions, real screenshots, age-related information and support contact. Privacy policies must match actual data collection and third-party SDK behaviour. When sign-in is required, provide platform-compliant review access without exposing real customer records.
Check current platform rules
Store requirements change, so consult current Apple and Google documentation before submission. Review permissions, account deletion, subscriptions and payments where relevant. Do not promise an approval date. Address rejection reasons by correcting the behaviour rather than attempting to bypass review with cosmetic description changes.
Plan post-release operations
Assign responsibility for support requests, crashes, OS updates and API compatibility. Plan gradual rollout and stopping a problematic release. The backend must account for users on older versions. Monitor failures and core workflows without unnecessary personal data, and revoke access when team membership changes.
Checklist
- Agree ownership of accounts and keys.
- Use screenshots of the real application.
- Match privacy declarations to SDK behaviour.
- Assign update and user-support responsibilities.
Project questions
Does submission guarantee store approval?
No. The platform decides under its current rules. A team can prepare a compliant submission and resolve feedback, but cannot guarantee approval or its date.
